​My role:

I was the first in-house Graphic Designer at 10x Banking. When I joined the company, the brand identity was very basic and consisted of only a logo, basic colour palette and a font. I was tasked with implementing a brand evolution to support the developing messaging framework and product strategy being implemented by the marketing and product teams.

​Brand evolution project:

  • Develop the brand from basic logo and colour palette, into a full brand suite  - aiming to increase brand perception and position 10x Banking as an industry leader

  • Update all designed assets - such as, digital integrated campaign assets, brochures, e-books, event materials and other printed materials across the business

  • Implement a range of self serve templates for use by colleagues to ensure consistency across all touchpoints

  • Create a bank of graphic assets that visually portray the product, user experience and tech stack

  • Updated and improve the 10x website inline with the brand evolution - with a focus on improving the conversion rate

Key brand messages

Key design decisions:

  • Introduced a navy blue into the primary colour palette, alongside the original 10x purple - deepening the palette for a more refined, trustworthy look and feel, and further differentiating from competitor palettes
     

  • Development of 'block' decorative assets to convey: building blocks = modular product; transformation and simplicity
     

  • Illustration assets with photography of customers using the product, and the teams behind the product development and security - to strengthen the customer centricity and connection with the 10x team as experts
     

  • New headline font - Archivo Expanded - to give the brand more personality, feel more contemporary and differentiate from competitors using Inter as their main brand font

HubSpot website redesign

Project overview:

Redesign the existing HubSpot website with the aim to align the visuals with the brand evolution and improve user journey.
Collaborating with an external HubSpot design agency to complete the dev work.

 

​Goals:

  • Update the website visuals to match the brand evolution

  • Improve the user journey to increase leads generated

  • ​Develop a new Insights area to house news, blog content and thought leadership gated content

  • Improve website load time, SEO and overhaul the organisation of elements housed in the CMS

 

​A key part of rolling out the brand evolution involved updating the 10x website in line with the new design changes. A large part of this involved creating new illustrative assets that effectively display facets of the 10x modular product, and their benefits to clients and their customers.  I developed a clean style that focused on displaying the product UI clearly, with the introduction of photographic elements to connect the product back to the customer.
